We are a family-run rabbitry located in Morgantown, Pennsylvania 19543. We’re grateful for our fellow bunny-lovin' friends, some of which have traveled to us from states away including Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Connecticut and as far as Cleveland, Ohio! (That’s a six hour drive each way, but we know our bunnies are worth the drive!)
All of our bunnies deserve the best! That’s why we provide a family-raised environment in a natural, outdoor setting. Our bunnies are never "force-bred" in a cage. Every pair that mates on site is bonded and we believe that's what makes our bunnies extra loveable! We have mini lop, mini plush lop, Holland lop, and mini rex/Holland lop mix bunnies.
To ensure the health and safety of our bunnies, we are a closed rabbitry. This means we do not allow visitors to enter the bunny housing area to "shop" our bunnies in person. This is a common practice of reputable rabbitries throughout the country. You're welcome to "shop" our bunny inventory on our website.
All of our bunnies are happy, healthy and hand-raised. While we attempt to determine each bunny's gender before they go to their "furever" home, please note that we cannot guarantee the gender of the bunny if they are under six months of age (even the pros get it wrong sometimes)!
We stand by the health of our bunnies and offer a health guarantee. If your bunny becomes sick or passes away within 7 days of adoption, and your veterinarian documents that it was the result of something caused by the breeder, we will take the bunny back or issue a full refund. (To date, neither scenario has ever occurred.)
Prior to adopting a bunny, please "do your homework." This entails taking the time to research proper bunny care and set-up an adequate space for your bunny to exercise (or roam free) on a daily basis. We've found that litter training is a great way to ensure your bunny can enjoy a larger space indoors or outdoors. Need advice on litter training? Just ask!
Many first-time (and seasoned) bunny-lovers ask us if bunnies do better in pairs. The decision to adopt one or multiple bunnies is a personal decision and totally up to you! Many believe that bunnies are happier and healthier in pairs, and while we agree, we do not push this theory as its been proven that many "only child" bunnies are perfectly spoiled and enjoy being the center of attention. The most important relationship will be the one between your family and your bunny!
Every bunny deserves a "furever" home. And while most bunny owner's intend to keep their bunny "furever," sometimes life gets in the way of those plans. That's why, at Bunnies by Emma & Ellie, we accept surrenders on a case-by-case basis. We have been very successful at rehoming bunnies both young and old.
